Who We Are
The Loaring Team is comprised of professional staff from a wide range of medical and fitness backgrounds. Our location under one roof allows for efficient communication, and learning from one another, and helps us provide a well-rounded, time-effective, and client-centred service.
Each team member updates their knowledge base annually, using current research and evidence-based techniques, for quality hands-on service. We also take measures in-house to promote further learning and professional development, with monthly clinical team meetings and in-services, and take part in provincial and national research studies.
What We Do
We are a manually-focused facility, meaning our approach is hands-on whenever possible. Our manual treatments are always accompanied by specific and individualized exercise programs. Finally, modalities such as moist heat, ice, ultrasound, IFC, TENS, muscle stimulation, acupuncture, supportive taping, etc, are used as appropriate. Educational materials are always provided for further explanation and ease of recall at home.

Things To Look For In A Health Care Professional
Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals, and therefore a physician’s referral script is not required to see one. Having said this, there are many benefits to involving your family physician in your medical decision-making and treatment process. In this way, your medical care has a “team approach”, with many bases covered. Though rare, some insurance companies still prefer a physician’s referral on record, so please check with your insurance provider to see if you fall into this category.
Finding the right health care professional is not an easy task. As health care consumers, you have the right to choose the professional of your choice. Here are some helpful tips to consider during your search:
1. Does the health care provider administer manual/hands-on care in a one-on-one manner? Do you see that health care provider each and every time you attend your treatment session, or does someone else treat you? If so, who, and what are their credentials/educational backgrounds/experience levels?
2. What is the health care provider’s average daily patient caseload? (For example, do they personally average 25 patients a day, or 50 patients a day?) The caseload of the clinician often directly impacts how much one-on-one time you will have with them, and/or how many resources are specifically available to you.
3. How often does the health care provider upgrade themselves educationally (i.e., courses, periodicals, specific web browsing, peer discussion, etc.)? Regular upgrading ensures that the health care provider uses the most current scientifically proven techniques, and provides up-to-date educational advice and resources to the public.
4. Is the health care provider experienced in dealing with the specific type of injury you have, or the specific type of patient that you are? For example, if you have just had a car accident, does this particular health care provider have experience working with clients in similar circumstances? Or, if you are an athlete, can this provider relate to your training/competition schedule/needs?
Your health is your life; educate yourself, and don’t settle for less than the best available care.
Take your health to the next level
