Beginner swimmers will progress through the most basic front crawl drills.

Swim goggles
Towel
Water bottle with sport drink
Healthy snack to consume after swim

The Run Session will begin with run-specific dynamic stretches, and then participants will perform a few running-specific drills that are appropriate for endurance runners/triathletes.

After the drill session, participants will run at their own pace, and for the duration of their choice. You may choose to run 1 loop (5k) or 2 loops (10k) of the Loaring Run Under The Sun course.

Charlotte Loaring (RPT) will take you through a 30min triathlon-specific exercise class, teaching you performance tricks of the trade, and helping prevent those nagging seasonal injuries. Learn why core, gluteus medius, and single-legged exercises are a worthwhile addition to any training plan, and more importantly, make sure you’re doing those exercises correctly.

What to Bring?
Towel or exercise mat
Water bottle with sport drink
Healthy lunch to consume after exercises

HYDRATION and NUTRITION Q & A with Coach Mark

Performance Nutrition Consultant Mark Linseman will lead a Q & A session based on questionnaire feedback about your own race-day nutrition and hydration strategies. Mark has advised countless endurance athletes, from beginner to professional, on proper race-day hydration and nutrition. There is no "one size fits all" solution to hydration and nutrition, and this session will help you discover what will work best for YOU.

BIKE

An inspiring 90min to 120min indoor bike session will take place at Loaring Physiotherapy.

A motivational DVD will keep everyone entertained while Coaches James and Mark lead the group through a ride over simulated undulating terrain. James and Mark will provide an educational component throughout the ride while discussing topics such as: natural cadence, pacing strategy, hydration strategy, nutrition strategy, climbing strategy, and target perceived exertion.

The intensity and duration of the bike session will vary depending on one's fitness level and ability. Some will ride 1h upwards to 90min, while others will ride 90min upwards to 2h.

What to Bring?
Change of clothing for bike workout (outdoors)
